The doctors and staff at Best Care Veterinary Specialty look forward to treating your pet. Below is information regarding appointment scheduling, what to expect during your first visit, cost estimates, and payment information.

New Clients

To make an appointment, call the hospital at 605.777.7420. Our staff will collect the necessary information and schedule a time for you and your pet to come see one of our veterinarians. 

Please be sure you bring the following items with you on the day of your appointment:

  • Your pet
  • A copy of your pet’s complete medical record
  • Any relevant x-rays
  • All medications and supplements that your pet is currently taking

Please arrive 20 minutes early to complete information for your pet’s medical record. Don’t forget to continue your pet’s normal medications. There is no need to fast your pet unless instructed to do so.

Existing Clients

Welcome back! To make an appointment, give us a call at 605.777.7420. A member of our staff can ensure that your pet’s charts are pulled and all necessary information is ready at the time of your appointment.

Cost Estimates

When you make an appointment, we will give you an explanation of initial fees based on the specialty service you are visiting for. We won’t know if additional services will be recommended or required, so it may not be possible to estimate all of the costs in advance. Once we examine your pet, we will give you an assessment of your pet’s options and estimated cost.

Payment Policy

Payment in full is required at the time services are provided. Cash, check, debit card, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card are accepted forms of payment. Care credit is an option that may allow payments to be made over months with low interest. A deposit in the amount of the minimum treatment plan, will be required if our pet is staying at the hospital for evaluation or treatment. Also, a deposit may be required before performing additional tests or treatments.
